I want to invite you to post what you “ONE” is going to be this year. Last night at College and Career we had a great time going through the group and sharing what we want to see happen in our lives in the next year…
So all you have to do is click “comment” and share what yours is. As you read others I encourgage you to say a prayer for them.

I have already shared mine in the Sunday morning talks, but I will share it here too.
My ONE is to scale back the amount of TV I watch. I have done it for a week, and really love how it has benefited other areas of my life. Pray that I will continue to focus on it.
Thanks,
Jarret
My ONE for ’09 is to pray daily each morning, even if it’s just for a few minutes. I love to read so Bible reading comes easy to me – it’s slowing down long enough to pray that I struggle with.
Thanks for your prayers!

My one seems complicated. I’m not sure how to describe it other than – not letting work “suck” me in. It seems easy enough, but put me in a high-stress/demanding work environment and soon enough, I’ll march to the beat of the drum – at any cost. I can become demanding, stressed or impatient; I sometimes work late, bring work home or worst bring “attitude” home; I even forget to say thank-you and please or say it but don’t mean it.
In the past, I’ve worked hard at not allowing myself to get consumed by my enviromenment, but in the end I find myself saying: I got sucked-in again!
I wonder: knowing that passion, determination and a get-it-done attitude are considered good skills (at my work anyway), but also knowing that they lead to you getting sucked-in, then should you work at being a little more indifferent?
I am still looking for the big umbrella under which to hide the many, many ONE’s that I need to do to make my life better, and me a better person.
However, I have narrowed it down to just ONE… I am going to try to work on organization. Mostly, just doing things immediately, and not putting them off. When the bills need to be paid, paying them then, not saying I will do it tomorrow. When a phone call needs to be returned, not saying I will do it tomorrow. As I am finding like Garth Brookes, Tomorrow Never Comes…
I have gone back and forth between two options for what my One should be. The first one provided outward change and the second was for inward change. So, as it turns out, the message this past week decided it for me.
My One will be to read my Bible daily. Not necessarily to read it in a year but to spend time in it each and every day.
By the way Iis23….you have quite the dilemna there. I will be praying that God will give you divine insight as to where you should be drawing the line.
